~ My student, Nancy came to me in pain from her day job. She was so tight that she couldn't touch her toes in a forward fold. She followed the elements of my training and by practicing it approximately once a week, she was able to achieve her splits in under a year.

Partway into my pregnancy and during my postpartum recovery, I chose to put a hold on my flexibility practice. Practice what I preach of course! I easily got my splits back in about two weeks! That went a long way to helping me feel like my old self again!
Vanessa had really injured herself by trying to slide into her splits pose at home. She was so upset because she felt that she could no longer get into her splits, but she was determined to try! Slowly but surely we followed the elements of my training and built back up that safe and sturdy foundation. We practiced on average twice a week and her injury healed in a couple of months and in time, she was able to get back into her splits (safely!)
When practicing to increase flexibility and range of motion, warm-ups are so often overlooked. But did you know that warming up your body is vitally important in the process of increasing flexibility and range of motion? Without a proper warm-up, injury and set back are so much more likely.
